Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan makna tanda dan representasi peran perempuan dengan latar belakang budaya patriarki Korea Selatan. Dengan menafsirkan adegan dan dialog untuk menggambarkan peran perempuan dalam budaya patriarki. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis semiotika Roland Barthes sebagai metode penelitian untuk mengkaji tanda-tanda dan menemukan makna dalam film. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan mengamati adegan-adegan dalam film dan penulis menemukan 6 adegan dalam film yang berisi menggunakan klasifikasi tanda berdasarkan peran tradisional, peran transisi, peran ganda, peran egaliter dan peran kontemporer. Adegan tersebut mewakili berbagai peran perempuan dalam budaya patriarki
